Laikipia Camp; Kicheche Laikipia Camp is
a small luxurious Tented Camp set on the equator overlooking
a waterhole in the centre of the 110,000-Acre Ol Pejeta
Conservancy, which lies on the Laikipia Plains, 217
Kilometers from Nairobi and 14 Kilometers from Nanyuki
Town. Transfers by road from Nairobi take approximately
3.5 hours. Kicheche Laikipia Camp is a small luxurious
tented camp, which stands on the Laikipia Ol Pejeta
Conservancy. The camp is surrounded by indigenous
forest and overlooks a waterhole.

Laikipia Camp has six custom-built luxury tents, there
is also a central dining tent and safari lounge. Its
twelve guests are hosted by the inimitable Andy and
Sonja Webb. Kicheche Laikipia Camp tents are custom
designed and are fully insect-proof with en-suite
bathrooms equipped with a dresser, flushing toilet
and hot showers. There are comfortable chairs on each
verandah overlooking the waterhole. One tent can be
converted into a triple on request. There is a spacious
well furnished lounge and dining tent, although guests
prefer to eat alfresco if weather permits.

Kicheche
Laikipia Camp in The Ol Pejeta
Conservancy is 110,000 acres of wilderness offers
an incredibly uncrowded environment to enjoy quality
game viewing. The Conservancy is home to Kenya's largest
population of Black Rhino, large numbers of elephant,
cheetah, lion, leopard and plentiful plains game.
There are also a number of rarer Northern species
such as Grevys Zebra, Jacksons Hartebeest and Beisa
Oryx. The Conservancy lies on the Equator 30 minutes
drive from Nanyuki airstrip and affords wonderful
views of Mt Kenya.

Conservancy Fees for adults is not included on the
rates and is 50 US Dollars

Children aged 3 -11 years pay 50% of adult rate for
accommodation and 42 US Dollars for Conservancy fees

Young adults 12-17 years: Accommodation is chargeable
at adult rates however Laikipia Conservancy Fees are
at 50%

Infants under 3 : Free of Charge, however, please
note that Kicheche camps are not conducive to infants
and no baby equipment, such as cots and high chairs,
are provided

Sole-use of vehicle is available at 215 US Dollars
per vehicle per day. Families with children under
7 will be required to take a sole use vehicle unless
there are 4 or more guests in the party. A single
booking of 4-6 guests will be guaranteed sole use
at no surcharge

Late Departures: Guests departing
in the afternoon will not be charged for an extra
lunch however they will be required to vacate their
tent by 10am on the day of departure. Showering facilities
are available to those departing in the afternoon

* Learn how to use radio-tracking equipment to find,
for example, the resident cheetah Toki (featured in
the BBC documentary ‘Toki's Tale')
* Guests may have the opportunity to observe special
activities such as animal capture/release should they
be going on during their time on the Conservancy.
