The Sleeping Warrior Lodge is an eco-friendly luxury lodge just over two hours from Nairobi. Set on the stunning Soysambu Conservancy, the lodge offers breathtaking views of Lake Elementaita and the Rift Valley.

Enjoy an unforgettable wilderness experience with night and day game drives, bush walks and excursions to nearby Lake Nakuru National Park and Eburru Forest Sanctuary.

The lodge is set on top of a volcanic hill overlooking the Sleeping Warrior Crater, Lake Elementaita and the plains of Soysambu. The lodge is 40 minutes across private land to the Nderit Gate entrance to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Soak in the splendor of the African bush in 10 widely spaced bungalows at The Sleeping Warrior Lodge. Each bungalow is designed to maximize the views and offer the highest level of comfort and privacy to our guests.

The Sleeping Warrior Lodge is also a gourmet experience with fine wines and European dishes offered at the restaurant. Any special dietary requirements can be catered to on request.

The Sleeping Warrior Lodge Facilities

The Sleeping Warrior Lodge facilities include a restaurant/bar area offers panoramic views of the Rift Valley. The restaurant offers à la carte gourmet meals complemented by a selection of fine wines from the lodge's cellar. Lunch and sundowners will be served on the 200m² mazera stone terrace set in the lushly landscaped gardens.

At the Hot Springs Spa guests can relax in two pools of natural thermal water. The spa offers massage, aromatherapy and use of local plants for well being.

The large heated horizon pool (45 feet x 18 feet) is a great place to relax and enjoy the view while sipping a drink from the poolside bar. Conference room (seats 60 people), tennis court and a gift shop.

Soysambu Conservancy
A private conservancy all to yourselves. Soysambu Conservancy features volcanic hills, rolling plains, and dense acacia woodlands, the Conservancy also includes a substantial part of Lake Elementaita, the ancestral home of 1.2 million flamingos and their attendant cast of pelicans, cormorants, waders and storks.

Within the shelter of the crater, wander large herds of buffalo, within the acacia thickets graze the rare Rothschild's giraffe, and across the plains bound an ever-shifting kaleidoscope of plain's game.

Long protected from the impact of mass-tourism, the Conservancy also provides sanctuary for a wide range of predators, including the shy and secretive leopard.

Lake Nakuru National Park is Kenya's first rhino sanctuary and is home to: 450 bird species and up to 1.5 million flamingos, black and white rhinos, leopard, lion, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, colobus monkey, rock hyrax, hippo, waterbuck, Impala, striped hyena, bat-eared fox, wildcat, reedbuck, striped hyena, golden cat, the long-eared leaf-nosed bat.
