Red Elephant Safari Lodge; Red Elephant Safari Lodge is situated just at the border of Tsavo-East-National-Park, only 700 meters from Voi-Gate and only 5 kilometers from Voi town. Tsavo East is the largest national park in Kenya. The abundance and variety of animals within the country fascinate visitors from all around the world until date.

The red soil of the savannah gives a unique look to the thousands of elephants living in the park and due to their red nature, they are famously known as “The Red Elephants“. The Red Elephant Safari Lodge is located at the entrance gate of Tsavo.

Red Elephant Safari Lodge has a blend of high standard traditional African accommodation, tasty cuisine and a cozy atmosphere on Kenya's largest national park, the Tsavo East. The lodge is built to have a traditional African feel and not a modern day’s look, but still having all the comfort and luxury expected by a modern traveler.

Red Elephant Safari Lodge Accommodation

All rooms at the Red Elephant Safari Lodge have a wooden ceiling. Each room is self-contained with bathroom with shower, flush toilet and wash hand basin. Hot and cold water is available. The windows are covered by mosquito-wire to protect guests of insects while cool breeze is provided.

But during rains and storms, the window can be closed. The big beds are built from natural stones, and were set with comfortable mattresses. Every bed is covered by a mosquito net. Also chairs and tables in the rooms are built from natural stones to give the room a unique safari look.

The Bush-Houses at Red Elephant Safari Lodge are generous rooms with enough space are tastefully furnished and lovely decorated in Safari Style. Each room is equipped with a nice ceiling fan. The modern bright bathroom completes the picture of this new accommodation.

Each of the Bush-Houses has got its own name and is decorated differently. The Bush-Houses may be booked for Single Use as well as Double or Twin Rooms and may be also given out as a Triple Room.

A sun deck is provided with sun beds and chairs. A small round pool (4.6 meters average and 1.1 meters deep) is operated during sunny weather.

Red Elephant Safari Lodge main building is covered by a big makuti roof. The dining room has a setting capacity of 60, breakfast and lunches are served as buffet or by plate service and exclusive dinner is served by French cloche-service, or as African Night at the camp fire.

There is a boutique, build from sisal-sticks within the lobby, offering a variety of purchases from postcards to exotic African wood carvings and travel accessories, where every traveler can find something of taste to their liking.

During dry evenings and nights a camp fire will be lighted and guests enjoy the scenery from their safari chairs. Bar services are available at the camp fire. Traditional dancers perform music of different Kenyan tribes.
