Ngulia Safari Camp is set against the backdrop of the rugged but scenic Ngulia Hills about 40 kilometres from Mtito Andei and 50 kilometres from the Tsavo River gates in Tsavo West National Park. The Camp has 6 self catering bandas, six standard rooms and a camp-site.

 

The nights have their own unique ambience, a potpourri of hundreds of different animal, birds and insect noises. The camp is designed to blend with the surrounding vegetation and landscape. From a distance, one may be forgiven for mistaking it for one of Ngulia Hills rock outcrops.

 

The bandas are tastefully furnished and have a well equipped kitchenette and bathroom suite. There is a Rock Room which is suitable for Honeymooners. Ngulia Safari Camp has a modern gourmet restaurant with an elaborate menu specifically designed for those who love the outdoors.

 

It also prides a well stocked `tree bar`, another extra-ordinary experience under wide starry tropical skies and in the warmth of a campfire. The camp is lit by a super-silent generator that comforts to stringent international wildlife and environmental requirements.

Tsavo West National Park, covering an area of about 9,065 square kilometers, holds a wide range of habitats, wildlife and young mountain scenery unique in Kenya, spectacular showcase of recent geological activities.

 

This vast expanse of savannah, lying equidistant between Nairobi and Mombasa and linked with Tsavo East National Park along the Mombasa Road, is a vibrant volcanic arena painted by green hills, lava flows, springs and large permanent rivers.

 

Tsavo West, far more varied topographically than its neighbor Tsavo East, is the more famous of the two parks, which forms, with the adjacent Chyulu Hills National Park, one of the largest national parks in the world.

 

From Nairobi, take Mombasa highway up to Mtito Andei where is the nearest main entrance (Mtito Andei Gate). Distance Nairobi-Mtito Andei : 233 kilometers - Distance Mtito Andei-Voi : 96 kilometers. From Mombasa, take Mombasa highway up to Manyani town where is the Tsavo Gate.
