Mara Buffalo Camp; Mara Buffalo Camp is located on the Mara river about 24 Kilometers northwest of the Masai Mara which is 1500 metres above sea level in southwest Kenya. Mara Buffalo Camp is situated under shady trees on the banks of the Mara River, the home to a herd of hippo, it comprises cozy furnished 'Bandas' (wooden bungalows), each with a private shower and wc. Being directly on the bank of river you can watch the game come to drink or hippos wallowing while you relax with a beer on the verandah. Mara Buffalo also have a number of interesting house pets – a baby zebra, a gazelle and an impala!

Meals are prepared in traditional farmhouse style and are served in the dining room or barbecues around the camp fire. Mara Buffalo Camp has 38 spacious traditional "Bandas" (small bungalows) with secluded verandas, each well spaced from each other, ensuring privacy and exclusivity, but of course it does mean that some of them are quite a distance from the main amenities. The traditional "Bandas" (small bungalows) are situated in three secluded ‘wings’:

Mara Buffalo Camp Bamboo wing (19 tents), is surrounded by bamboo groves and flowering ornamental trees near the main camp. The Palm Wing (nine "Bandas" ), overlooking a series of springs, lily-clad ponds and lush indigenous forest, and the Acacia Wing (ten "Bandas"), which occupies more open acacia woodland rich in bird life on the camp boundary. Each of these groups has their own butler. They have large solid single or double beds, custom made from pale logs of Blue Gum. Each bed is furnished with a duvet, rather than blankets, and every night a hot water bottle is delivered.
