Our
Kenya and Tanzania 15 Days Safari in style offers
both Kenya and Tanzania in a neat package of exactly
two weeks, without ever rushing or sacrificing the
quality of the experience to do so. All of East Africa’s
legendary game parks are included, as well as a few
hidden gems. Moreover, luxurious tented camps will
be our lodgings in some locations, not to mention
the superb Ngorongoro Carter Lodge in Tanzania. And
several flights expedite travel between locations
while providing aerial panoramas over the lush mosaic
of East Africa’s villages, farmlands, escarpments
and endless plains below. Experience game drives in
places worthy of the name "paradise," from
vast grasslands, winding rivers and acacia groves
to a giant caldera filled with wildlife. Fly across
stunning landscapes to the Samburu Game Reserve for
morning and afternoon bush drives. In the Masai Mara,
stay in an intimate safari accommodations.

Touching
down in Nairobi, we are whisked to the Fairmont Norfolk
Hotel, the legendary starting point for grand safaris
since the days of the earliest explorers.

Fly to Arusha, Tanzania connect flights and fly to
Lake Manyara National Park
You are whisked by air to Lake Manyara where you enjoy
your first taste of game viewing on the way to your
lodge. Lake Manyara, one of a chain of lakes in Africa's
Great Rift Valley, is nestled at the foot of a spectacular
2,000-foot escarpment decorated by magnificent forests
of towering mahogany trees and giant figs. The lodge
is situated inside Lake Manyara National Park. This
evening enjoy a special welcome dinner and safari
briefing hosted by African Spice Safaris.

Today you enjoy morning and afternoon game drives
in this unique habitat. Its lush foliage hosts a prolific
bird life and the area is well known for its population
of flamingo. Other bird species in this area include
the African spoonbill, white and pink backed pelican,
avocet, kingfisher, hammerkop, cormorant, fish eagle
and the jacana. Troops of baboon and vervet monkey
live in the forest and open areas, while blue monkey
live in the forest. Monitor lizard can often be spotted
sunning themselves on the riverbanks. Following the
formation of the Rift Valley, streams cascaded down
the rocky walls and, in the absence of an outlet,
a lake was formed.

Enjoy one more game drive in Lake Manyara National
Park before you continue by road to quaint Gibb's
Farm, where you stop for a farm-fresh lunch. After
lunch, continue on to one of the most magnificent
wildlife arenas in all of Africa: the Ngorongoro Crater.
Considered to be one of the natural wonders of the
world, the Crater is a 2,000-foot deep caldera created
by the collapsed cone of a volcano. Relax this afternoon
while being tended to by your personal butler.

Crater
Travel down into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's
most fascinating wildlife areas. Up to 12 miles in
diameter, the short grass prairies of this volcanic
caldera harbor lion, elephant, hyena, wildebeest,
gazelle and many other species, as you discover on
today's game drives. Even the rare and elusive black
rhinoceros, one of Africa's most endangered species,
is a resident here. You may also see Maasai herdsmen
and their cattle; the Crater is in their territory
and the Maasai continue to coexist with wildlife as
they have for centuries.

to Serengeti National Park
Take a short flight to your luxury tented camp in
a remote corner of the Serengeti, and spend two days
exploring this vast region. The name Serengeti creates
powerful images of one of the last remaining wildlife
spectacles on earth. Rivers flow through the park,
providing habitats for a variety of birds, mammals
and reptiles.

Serengeti is a legendary safari setting where the
vast ecosystem plays host to the planet’s most
awesome wildlife spectacle. So unique, in fact, that
the Serengeti is a World Heritage Site and listed
as an International Biosphere Reserve. Its arching
landscapes embody quintessential Africa…golden
and endless. Long peaceful day at the Serengeti Grumeti
River Camp bring the rewards of excellent game viewing
and utter tranquility.

Fly to Arusha connect flight to Nairobi and continue
by Air to Samburu Game Reserve
Fly across the stunning landscapes to the Samburu
Game Reserve in northern Kenya. Your first game drive
is en route to camp. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely
beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely
Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s
most protected areas and home to species only found
north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe
to Grevy’s zebras and beisa oryxes. We also
enjoy Larsens Tented Camp, our luxurious hostelry
set beneath a canopy of acacia trees along the banks
of the river.

Spend the morning and afternoon bush drives in this
beautiful area, watching crocodile basking on the
riverbanks and vervet monkey frolicking in the late
afternoon sun. Your safari takes you through a variety
of landscapes. Drive along areas of reddish-brown
scrub land, set in the shadows of Ololokwe Mountain.
Birding enthusiasts will be well rewarded, with over
300 species, including the martial eagle and Somali
ostrich.

Our game drives are rousing exploits in the company
of guides who regale us with bush lore, educate us

a Bush Walk to indulge all of our senses. And the
climax? Bush Sundowners —a unique joy of safari
life, where one savours the exotic contradiction of
a civilized cocktail party staged in the untamed wildness
of Africa.
