Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Early pick from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or a city hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to Masai Mara departing Wilson Airport at 10.00 Hours.

Upon arrival you will be met by a guide from Keekorok Lodge and start your first game drive en route to the lodge. After lunch depart for further activities offered by Keekorok Lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Shared early morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve. Mid morning you have an option of visiting a Masai Cultural Village and return to Keekorok Lodge for lunch.

Afternoon tea/ coffee or Hot chocolate before the evening game drive. Overnight at Keekorok Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast at the lodge then transfer to the airstrip with a game en route to Keekorok Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi arriving Wilson Airport approximately 1215 Hours.

Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to a city centre hotel where your safari ends.

Keekorok Lodge

Keekorok Game Lodge was opened in 1965 and lies at the southern end of Masai Mara National Reserve, approximately 280 kilometers from Nairobi.

It is located in the direct path of the annual migration and was the first lodge to be built in the Mara. At the height of the migration, Keekorok is surrounded by a swarming mass of animals and there is hardly need to go on a game drive.

Keekorok's charm lies in the liberal use of local building materials. Sand stone, cedar wood and other indigenous materials are used in all rooms and public areas. In front of the lodge there is a 300m elevated walkway that meanders through a small riverine forest to a small bar at one end.

This overlooks a dam where resident hippo and other game are regularly seen. There are no fences around Keekorok and it is not uncommon to see elephant and buffalo on the perimeter of the grounds or even strolling in. Though there are watchmen on the constant look out!

Keekorok Lodge has 89 Double Rooms, 8 Superior Rooms and 4 Suites. Rooms are all en suite and in bungalows, single storey blocks and comfortable shaded chalets. The liberal use of cedar, pink and grey sand river stone and other indigenous building materials off set the green lawns and colorful bougainvillea.
