Cove Retreat Tree Houses has 6 Tree Houses on the beach and 4 forest Villa Suites set back a few metres from the beach on the perimeter of the Forest offering a holiday to unwind and become captivated with natures slow pace on this forest lined part of the coast.

The Cove Retreat Tree Houses is located 2 hours, 30 minutes from Mombasa International Airport or 30 minutes from Diani Airport, on the secluded beaches of Kinondo, South Coast, 12 kilometers South of Diani Beach. The driving time is 8 hours from Nairobi.

Six uniquely designed, luxury Tree Houses each nestled in their own Baobab tree right on the beach and each with its own private Jacuzzi, terrace and sea view bathroom. The Cove Tree Houses are a private, personal haven and offer a sense of heightened sultry romance on the beach and meals can be taken in your Tree House at your own leisure.

The Cove’s Tree Houses rustic design allows it to be an informal Retreat from the stress of hectic lives and of modern living. This is a Couples only retreat.

The Cove Retreat Tree Houses are situated in a private cove alongside a fishing community. Eco- friendly local excursions can be arranged with the local community in dugout canoes and outriggers for snorkeling, sailing, mangrove trips, as well as bush walks and visits to the nearby village.

Health and Beauty Treatments are also available in the privacy of your Tree House. Sport Fishing and Scuba Diving can also be arranged and all paid for locally.

1. How far are you from Mombasa Airport?

The Cove Retreat is located on the south coast of Kenya and is roughly 90 minutes by road from the airport in Mombasa.

2. Can you book my flight from Nairobi if I book my own international flights?

Yes African Spice Safaris can book your domestic flight from Nairobi.

3. Can I stay at more than one Retreat during my stay?

Yes you can split your holiday between the Retreats and the transfers between The Cove Retreat are complimentary.

4. Are there minimum night stays at any of your Retreats?

The Cove Retreat is the only Resort where you have to stay a minimum of 3 Nights.

5. I do not want to stay at any of the Retreats but I would like to stay for 01 night at Sable combined with my other Mombasa Hotel stay? Sable Tree House is a coastal favorite with all Hotels on the south coast included for a night and we offer complimentary transfer from any south coast Hotel to Sable.

6. Do you allow children at any of your Retreats?

We cannot accept children at Sable Tree-house due to the nature of the accommodation layout i.e. 1 king size double bed. Children are allowed at Kinondo Retreat during certain months of the year, please enquire with us.

No children are allowed at Gazi Bay and The Cove.

7. Do you have water sports facilities at any of your Beach Retreats?

The Cove Retreat does not offer any water sports facilities. Kinondo Retreat offers windsurfing and boogy board surfing from beach and snorkeling from the beach.

Gazi Retreat offers windsurfing and boody board surfing from beach and snorkeling trips by boat as well as fishing. For those clients who would like to dive, we offer the facility of driving clients to the nearest dive centre for this activity.
