Beach House Kilifi is the ultimate private house on Kenya’s coastline. Ideal for exclusive groups of friends or families looking for a place to relax and enjoy the sunshine of the Indian Ocean, the house is a spacious retreat right on the beach. The beach house can be accessed from Malindi or Mombasa airstrips or Kilifi airstrip for private charter flights.

Surrounded by lush gardens and swaying palms, with the beach and glittering ocean a stone’s throw away, you might just want to spend all day, every day, relaxing and indulging in its seclusion. Alternatively, you might be after a more active stay, in which case you will find that the house is perfectly positioned for both water-based and land-based activities.

Beach House Kilifi can be booked on exclusive & non-exclusive basis. You can book the Beach House for couples and small families on a non exclusive basis and book the whole house for larger families on exclusive basis. Children of all ages are welcome at the Beach House and those under 5 years of age stay free of charge!

Kilifi Beach Main House

Kilifi Beach Main House comprises four spacious rooms, each of which looks out over the verdant lawns to the sandy beach and Blue Ocean beyond. Each of the bedrooms is designed in Balinese style, emphasizing clean lines and simple chic design.

En-suite bathrooms have spacious changing areas, a double sink and hot water throughout the day. The main house has a large swimming pool with adjacent gazebo for relaxing with a cocktail during the day. Food is prepared in the large kitchen, which guests are invited to visit at any time, and meals can be served at the pool or in the dining room. A comfortable sitting room area welcomes guests to relax indoors if they wish. Satellite TV is also available.

Beach House Kilifi Cottage

Kilifi Beach House Cottage in the grounds provides flexible accommodation for additional guests. Four guests can sleep in a two-bed roomed cottage, which comes with its own swimming pool, sitting room and mini-kitchen.

Nearby, the lush canopy of the Arabuko Sokoke forest is home to many colourful bird species, and south of Kilifi is the world class Vipingo Ridge Golf Resort. The Baobab Golf Course at Vipingo Ridge is Kenya’s newest golf course and has been built to international standards, using USGA specifications for all aspects of the course.

Kilifi Beach House Water Sports

Kilifi Beach House water sports partners in Kilifi are 3 Degrees South; an experienced and highly regarded sailing, windsurfing and water skiing centre based at Kilifi Creek. The staff will transfer you the short distance to and from the creek.

With a team of RYA and BWSF trained instructors, they are focused on providing professional, accessible and exciting dinghy sailing, windsurfing and water skiing for adults and children. As a registered RYA Training Centre, tuition is not only international standard but internationally recognized qualifications are available alongside.

They provide tuition for all abilities as well as rental for competent sailors and windsurfers. Their aim is to encourage as many people onto the water as they can.

Kilifi Beach House Fishing

Kilifi Beach House has a selection of deep-sea fishing boats available for your sole use – half day, full day or overnight – all with our expert fishing guides. This is a fabulous opportunity to catch some of East Africa’s finest Billfish such as Marlin and Sailfish, as well as Wahoo, Yellowfin, Grace Felusi and Barracuda. We do, however, operate on a ‘catch and release’ basis.

Kilifi Beach House Scuba Diving

Kilifi Beach House dive partners in Kilifi are Buccaneer Diving; the most experienced and highly regarded operation in Kenya. In 1997 Buccaneer Diving was made the first PADI 5 star IDC centre in East Africa. They have also received a PADI Service to Industry Awards and PADI Educational Awards. In 2007 Buccaneer Diving was voted in the top 100 dive centres in the world by the readers of Unterwasser Magazine.

Kilifi Beach House can arrange courses for beginners or dive trips for experienced divers to dive sites such as the Vuma Caves and blowholes. These caves can be explored at relatively shallow depths and large fish, reef sharks, turtles, groupers and occasionally dolphins are all seen here. Vuma offers one of the best chances to see White sharks during the season.

Kilifi Beach House Vipingo Ridge

The Baobab Golf Course at Vipingo Ridge is Kenya’s newest golf course and has been built to international standards. A computerized irrigation system, fine Bermuda grass throughout and state of the art green keeping equipment, ensures the course is in great condition at all times.

The course was designed by David Jones, a board member of the European Tour and former Kenya Open Champion and is endorsed by Ian Woosnam OBE, a former world no 1 and US Masters winner. The location of the course overlooking the Indian Ocean gives golfers fantastic views in one of the most spectacular areas of natural beauty in Kenya.

The Golf Club at Vipingo Ridge is a private member’s club; however, residents of the Beach House are automatically welcomed to enjoy the facilities under our special arrangement.

Kilifi Beach House Bird Watching

The Arabuko-Sokoke Forest

Just 20 kilometers from the Beach House one can access the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest which covers 420 square kilometers. It is one of the last remnant indigenous forests in Kenya, the largest and most intact coastal forest in East Africa and by far the largest remnant of the forests that once dominated Kenya’s coastal fringe.

The forest is an important area for the Southern Banded Snake Eagle, Fischer’s Turaco, Sokoke Scops Owl, Spotted Ground Thrush, Sokoke Pipit, East Coast Akalat, Amani Sunbird, Plain-backed Sunbird and Clarke’s Weaver. It is very accessible and we can arrange for excellent guides to take you around the forest.

Kilifi Creek

The beautiful Kilifi Creek is right on our doorstep and provides prolific birdlife with the Carmine Bee-eater ever present. An evening trip up the creek to watch the sunset is a must, as one can watch the birds returning home to roost. Over 100 different species, including Fish Eagles, Kingfishers (Malachite and Pied), Herons and Sacred Ibis can be found in this unique habitat.
