Our 5 day Uganda safaris begin at the main point of arrival in Entebbe and cities like Kampala or Jinja. Many people travel to Uganda to see the Mountain Gorillas that Uganda is famed for.  Uganda is the home to half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas.

Half the total population of the world’s gorillas lives in the Virunga Mountains in Uganda where the Zaire, Rwanda, and Burundi borders meet. The other half is found in the Bwindi Forest in Uganda. The country is also home to tree-climbing lions, elephants, chimpanzees, zebras, golden Monkeys, Rothschild giraffe, Cape buffalo, rhinos, Uganda Kob, leopard, crocodiles, and hippos.

Uganda is unrivaled on the continent as a bird-watching destination with over 1,000 species of birds – several of which are found nowhere else on the planet. Budongo Forest and the Royal Mile are considered one of Africa’s birding highlights. And these locations in Uganda offer exceptional chances to view the prehistoric-looking shoebill.

Not to mention the 1200 butterflies species, orchids, cycads, epiphytic ferns, and hundreds of tree species. A Ugandan safari is a naturalist’s paradise.

Our 5-day safaris and wildlife holidays take you to the most beautiful and most interesting attractions in Uganda. These destinations include Murchison Falls National Park home to Murchison Falls – with enormous waters bursting through a narrow gorge before crashing in powerful, roaring cascades.

Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to elephants, leopards, hippos, chimpanzees, giraffes, and the Tree Climbing Lions of Ishasha. There are various safaris, lake cruises, and even hot air balloon tours available here for you to explore this amazing area.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a World Heritage Site and a hotspot for mountain gorilla trekking and other activities such as bird watching, golden monkey trekking, and Buhoma Community walks, guided nature walks. Kibale National Park has a population of over 1500 chimps and is arguably the best place for tracking chimpanzees in the world.

Kidepo Valley, National Park, is good for game drives and cultural activities which include spending some time in a Karamojong village learning about their traditional way of life. 

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and is best known as an alternative destination to Bwindi for mountain gorilla trekking, but it also offers good birding and other wildlife including the endangered golden monkey, the blue monkey, golden cat, leopard, bushbuck, and duiker.

Mount Elgon National Park is a very nice place for those who love hiking activities while the Rwenzori Mountains National Park – the famous “Mountains of the Moon” is equally an exciting hiking destination in Uganda. Other popular parks include Semiliki National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhinos, and Lake Mburo National Park.

Lake Victoria offers so much natural beauty and wildlife to see, from scenic mountain views to islands, beaches, fishing boats, and various bird and animal species. A visit to Jinja, the beginning of the Nile River allows you to view the world’s longest and most historic river begins, and also get your blood pumping with activities like whitewater rafting, mountain-biking, quad-biking, and kayaking.

Ssese Islands is where you can relax amid beautiful scenery, see chimpanzees, walk on white-sand beaches, enjoy horseback riding and windsurfing, as well as interact with the Bantu people and learn about their culture.

Lake Bunyonyi offers a peaceful setting with water sports activities and bird-watching while the nearby towns provide colorful markets and cultural experiences with the local villagers. Sipi falls is arguably the most gorgeous chain of waterfalls in Uganda sitting in the foothills of Mt. Elgon.

Check out the country’s capital city, Kampala where you can tour beautiful temples, cathedrals, art galleries, and museums that include the popular Uganda National Museum. You can also browse various markets for clothing, foods, and crafts. Kampala also offers a good range of restaurants and bars.
