Zawadi Roundhouse Cottage Sandai Farm
Zawadi Roundhouse Cottage is a beautiful Kenyan-style Roundhouse holiday situated on Sandai Farm in Mweiga, between Aberdare National Park and Mt. Kenya.
The farm is 26.5 km from Nyeri town and 220 km from Nairobi and it takes about a 3 to 4 hours’ drive. The round house is ideal for couples or families with children.
Zawadi is the best roundhouse for couples or families with children. The roundhouse, just like its neighboring roundhouse Azizi, is made up of a large bedroom with a double bed and an open gallery where a further mattress can be added.
The roundhouse is fully furnished and a sofa and writing desk make the cozy interior complete. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with a shower, WC and washbasin. Bed sheets, pillows, duvets and towels are provided.
The self-catering roundhouse has its own cozy verandah where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the magnificent Mt. Kenya.
There is a separate shared kitchen fully equipped with a gas cooker, sink, cooking utensils, dishes, a fireplace with a built-in pizza oven and a large dining table for approximately 8 guests. Guests prepare their own meals.
Electricity is provided by solar panels and water is obtained from a well and from collected rainwater.
The two Kenyan-style round huts are perfect for families with children or two couples who want to spend time together and yet enjoy the luxury of separate private rooms. The kitchen in the middle is a shared facility.
Activities in Zawadi Roundhouse Cottage Sandai Farm include; farm walks, bird watching and day trips to Solio Ranch, Aberdare Country Club and shopping tours to Nyeri.
One can also visit Baden Powell’s Museum or partake day tours to the Aberdare National Park, Samburu Game Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, climbing Mount Kenya among others.
