Zanzibar Sunset Dhow Cruise Tours is a dhow sailing excursion in Zanzibar from Stone Town, Zanzibar on the Indian Ocean. Watching the sunset by the seaside or while sailing the sea in Zanzibar is an amazing experience and one-of-a-kind!

Sunset Dhow Cruises use a handcrafted dhow that is operated by a professional, trained crew and is fully equipped with life jackets, a first aid kit, a sunshade, a boarding ladder, and waterproof bags. Each boat comfortably accommodates 16 guests, while one can hold up to 25!

You can choose whether to sit on the main deck or climb on top of the upper cabin for a great view! Step onto the deck of the dhow, relax and sail away on a magical sunset cruise to end your day. Come with your partner to turn up the romance or with your friends and family to see Zanzibar from the ocean’s perspective!

1500 Hours: We pick you up from your hotel residence and transfer you to the meeting point.

1630 Hours: Our guide will give us a detailed briefing of the excursion.

1645 Hours: Climb on board the dhow, meet the crew, and set sail. The sunset cruises leave Stone Town to cruise along the coast, slicing through the clear turquoise water.  The sounds of the bustle of busy people in Stone Town grow faint in the distance until they seem there, only in memory.

Musicians take over the sounds playing taarab, songs of love and loss, on Violin and Oud, as the crew serves canapés and keeps your glass topped up with your choice of drink. The is a  selection of beers, sodas, and bottled water, encouraging you to sink back into the cushions and enjoy the romance of Africa while watching the scenery drift by.

Sail for about an hour up the coast. On board our dhow there’s a personal guide who will accompany you on your cruise and give you information about Stone Town from the water as well as be able to answer any questions that you may have for him.

Watch the colors of the sky change from bright pink and blue to magnificent golden colors as you sail back toward the glimmering lights of Stone Town in the distance.
