Tsavo West Tsavo East

This 3-Day Classic road Safari package from Mombasa combines two National parks – Tsavo East & Tsavo West.  Tsavo is Kenya’s biggest park and, at 22,000 km² (13,671 miles), one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries.

Tsavo lies halfway between Mombasa and Nairobi and it is the road and railway between Kenya’s two main cities that divides it into East and West.

The larger Tsavo East offers a vast and largely untapped wilderness of arid bush with some of the most dramatic landscapes in Kenya; generally flat, with dry plains across which the Galana River flows. Other features include the Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls, and Baobab trees are a common sight.

Large herds of dust red elephants occur, along with the rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, gerenuk, and lesser kudu to name a few species. Birding is exceptional with almost 500 recorded species.

Tsavo West National Park has an area of 9065 km2.  Tsavo West attractions include bird watching, Mzima springs (underwater hippo and fish watching), Volcanoes, lava flows and caves and wildlife safaris.

Animals of Tsavo East include lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, zebra, crocodiles, mongoose, hyrax dik-dik, lesser kudu and nocturnal porcupine.

Our 3 Day classic road safari package departs from Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park. The safari enters Tsavo East National Park through Bachuma gate where you enjoy game drives.

After spending a night at a lodge or camp located on Tsavo East you depart by road and drive along Mombasa/ Nairobi road to Tsavo West National Park.  Activities here include game drives and a visit to the Rhino Sanctuary and Mzima springs.

Transport is either by safari Minivan or 4×4 safari vehicle. This road/ driving safari includes;

* Shared Game drives
* All Park/ Reserve fees
* Maximum 7 guests per vehicle – guaranteed window seat
* Full board accommodation in superb quality, well-located lodges/ camps
