Perfect for guests with a day free in Nairobi, this door-to-door guided tour lets you escape the city and discover spectacular birds and wildlife. After meeting your guide/driver at the hotel or residence in Nairobi at 0600 Hours, start your journey to Nakuru.

While en route, stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will attain magnificent views of escarpments.  Arrive at Lake Nakuru by 0900 Hours, completing the 3-hour drive. Upon arrival, start the 3-hour game drive at this unique park, home to white rhinos.

First, drive to Lake Nakuru, where hundreds of thousands of flamingos are often seen. After three hours of great spotting, you have lunch at either Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge, or a packed picnic.

Later, we drive to Crescent Island in Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to see hippos, feed eagles, and other aquatic birds. A guided walking safari on Crescent Island Game Sanctuary follows, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests in a predator-free environment.

Later, you will drive through the escarpments and return to your hotel or residence in Nairobi at 2000 Hours.

0500 Hours – 0600 Hours: Pickup from your Nairobi hotel and departure via the Great Rift Valley
0830 Hours – 1230 Hours: Arrival and game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Key sightings include endangered white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, and seasonal flocks of flamingos.
1230 Hours – 14:00 Hours: Lunch at a lodge inside the park, such as Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge, or a packed picnic
1500 Hours – 1600 Hours: Arrival at Lake Naivasha for a boat safari to see hippos and African fish eagles
