Kenya Safari 6 Day Safari Samburu Nakuru Masai Mara (staying at Luxury camps)

A well-priced 6-day/ 5-night Kenya Safari that starts and ends in Nairobi, exploring Samburu, Nakuru & Masai Mara.  Your private Kenya safari starts with game viewing in Samburu National Reserve (Elephant Bedroom Camp), located in the semi-arid northern region of Kenya within Samburu County, approximately 350 km north of Nairobi.

Samburu is known for the “special five”—including the Gerenuk (the long-necked giraffe gazelle), Reticulated Giraffe, Grévy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the Somali Ostrich. It is also home to close to 900 African elephants and is a premier location in Kenya for spotting elusive leopards. The reserve is rich in birdlife with over 450 recorded bird species.

From Samburu, we head to the important wildlife sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park  (Mbweha Camp, Congreve Conservancy), via Nairobi and the scenic Great Rift Valley. Then, it’s off to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve  (Tipilikwani Mara Camp or Mara Ngenche Safari Camp) for unparalleled game viewing in one of Africa’s best game parks.

Along the way, stay at comfortable tented camps and a safari lodge. This Samburu, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari offers the wildlife safari experience of a lifetime!

Mbweha Camp Soysambu conservancy

This is a wonderful 6-day/5-night Kenya Luxury road Safari, traveling by 4×4 vehicle and staying in small, exclusive Atua Enkop Africa luxury camps located in the three top prime game-viewing areas of Kenya.

Beginning and ending in Nairobi, this safari includes a road trip to Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya, then on to Lake Nakuru National Park in central Kenya. End off with 4×4 game drives in what is arguably the finest wildlife viewing destination in Africa – the Masai Mara National Reserve.

6-Day/5-Night Kenya Luxury Road Safari Highlights

2 Nights at Elephant Bedroom Camp (Samburu National Reserve)
1 Night at Mbweha Camp, Congreve Conservancy (Lake Nakuru National Park)
2 Nights at Tipilikwani Mara Camp or Mara Ngenche Safari Camp (Masai Mara National Reserve)

This tour opens up in Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya. We stay at the Elephant Bedroom Camp, inside Samburu Game Reserve. An intimate tented camp, Elephant Bedroom Camp lies along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the life force of the reserve.

Stay in one of 12 tented rooms amid the area’s trees and indigenous bush. Samburu is home to over 350 bird species. The animals here include Somali ostriches, long-necked gerenuk antelopes, Grevy’s zebras, and Somali giraffes.

Cheetahs, elephants, lions, and buffalo are frequently sighted, along with various antelopes, including striking-looking gemsbok, gazelles, waterbuck, and tiny dikdiks.

Next, we journey through the Great Rift Valley to Mbweha Safari Camp. The camp offers accommodation in comfortable stone-and-thatch chalets and overlooks the wilderness and the Eburu and Mau mountains.

Mbweha Safari Camp is located inside the Congreve Conservancy (part of the greater conservancy area called Soysambu), a private reserve covering some 6400 acres of bush, along the southern side of Lake Nakuru National Park. We explore the conservancy on foot, embarking on a guided walking safari to get close to the bush.

Walking in the bush is both thrilling and fascinating as you may encounter all kinds of unexpected creatures, big and small.

After a night at Mbweha Safari Camp, we drive southwest to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the most celebrated wildlife reserves on earth. We spend 2 nights at the Tipilkwani Mara Camp, going on game drives to enjoy the diversity of animals and birds that live year-round in the Masai Mara, as well as many migratory species.

Guests can also learn more about the Masai people, proud pastoralists and warriors, many of whom still retain their traditional nomadic lifestyle. The reserve hosts all of the big cats of Africa, in healthy numbers.

Other animals to look out for are foxes, jackals, giraffes, baboons, hippos, zebras, and herds of antelopes – eland, gazelles, hartebeest, impalas, and topi.

After 2 nights in the Masai Mara, we drive back to the city, where you are dropped off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or post-tour accommodation in Nairobi at about 13:00 hours, bringing our wildlife adventure to a close.
