Jacaranda Lake Elementaita Lodge

Jacaranda Lake Elementaita Lodge is an oasis of luxurious comfort and excellent service is situated strategically on a cliff with stunning views of Lake Elementaita, 120 km away from Nairobi and 29 km from Nakuru town.

The lodge is a 19th-century colonial farmhouse in the scenic Kikopey area overlooking Eburu Mountains, Sleeping warrior hill, and Lake Elementaita after which it was named.  The lodge was built in 1916 by Lord and still retains the features and atmosphere of an early colonial home. 

Jacaranda Lake Elementaita lodge Gilgil has been profiled as a Ramsar Site, a wetland of international importance, home to millions of lesser flamingos, and also an important stop-over for over 350 bird species.

Lake Elementaita Lodge has a total of 33 rooms tastefully furnished comprising 12 twin rooms, 10 double rooms and 11 triple rooms, and interconnecting rooms suitable for families. all built in the traditional British colonial style.

Each of the units is self-contained with some rooms having interconnecting doors for families traveling with their young ones, a front porch overlooking the entire property, and some rooms having a direct view of Lake Elementaita.

Each of the rooms is en-suite and has a satellite TV, mosquito net, wardrobe, telephone, mini-bar, in-room safe, fireplace, and balcony with a seating area. Camping facilities are available.

The Lord Cole restaurant with a sitting capacity of 70 guests offers both traditional and international cuisine with a variety of à la carte to buffet menus.

The Lord Cole bar serves many varieties of drinks and one can also enjoy drinks on the terrace while watching the sundowner.  The restaurant and bar are situated strategically with a breathtaking view of the Lake Elementaita

Jacaranda Lake Elementaita lodge Gilgil has conference facilities, an outdoor pool, and a very well-manicured ground providing an ideal venue for weddings, wedding receptions, and team building.

Activities at Lake Elementaita Lodge include horseback, safari excursions, game drives, and bird watching.
