Eagles Point Camp Lake Elementaita

Eagles Point Camp Lake Elementaita is a budget accommodation facility situated on a cliff on the shores of Lake Elementaita in the Great Rift Valley about 126 km from Kenya’s capital Nairobi. Nakuru National Park is approximately 19.8 km away from the camp.

The Camp stands above the cliffs of Lake Elementeita with a panoramic view of the lake and ancient craters surrounding it. Below the cliff, a path leads down to the glasslike sulfur lake.

Eagles Point Camp Lake Elementaita has 5 self-contained cottages with traditional settings and is built from eco-friendly material. Each cottage has a work desk, seating area, and furnished balcony. There is a spacious campsite for guests who prefer a serene and natural wilderness are available at the guests’ disposal. Tents, sleeping bags, and mattresses are provided at an extra cost.

There are well-equipped kitchen areas, fire pits barbecue facilities as well as modern sanitation facilities. Guest prepare their meals but there is also the option of eating at the restaurant if the day has been exhausting and no one wants to cook.

There is an onsite restaurant that serves a range of local meals freshly prepared on order. Guests can enjoy their meals on the terrace or the spacious lounge. The bar serves soft drinks, brewed coffee and cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and various teas.  Beers, spirits, and wines are only sold on order as we do not have a running bar.

The camp offers a lot of adventure; the picnicker finds a closeness with nature; camping is an experience; the student and the researcher discover worlds and the traveler finds a home away from home in our rustic natural accommodation.

Families spend quality time together… School parties, bird watchers, and youth groups love the freedom and opportunity to walk, run, play, share and learn…. churches and community groups touch base and find expression through the awesome beauty of God’s world.

Eagles Point Camp Lake Elementaita activities include; bird watching, boating, cycling, quad bikes, wilderness treks, rock climbing, abseiling, fitness training, and sports like football, volleyball, and basketball.

* We hire out cooking utensils and you can purchase charcoal or firewood on-site for your cooking
* There is a special area for your evening campfire You can purchase wood or charcoal from the shop
* We recommend campers to bring their own equipment: tents, sleeping bags, lamps and cooking stuff.  However, should this not be possible guests can hire the camp’s tents and mattresses
