0700 Hours – Departure & Initial Scenic Flight: Take off from Wilson Airport or your local lodge. Fly north over the Aberdare Mountain Range, viewing spectacular waterfalls and lush valleys. Continue toward the Mount Kenya region, potentially exploring its peaks and glaciers if the weather permits.

0830 Hours – 1000 Hours – Reteti Elephant Sanctuary & Breakfast Land at the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in the Namunyak Conservancy for the 9:00 AM orphan feeding session. Enjoy a picnic breakfast with champagne on a remote hilltop or the summit of a nearby range.

1030 Hours – 1230 Hours – Northern Landmarks & Wildlife Overflight: Follow the Kipsing River to view “luggas” (dry sandy riverbeds) frequented by elephant herds. Soar past the Matthews Range and Ndoto Mountains, characterized by ancient cycad forests and mist-covered peaks. Perform a low-level wildlife overflight of Samburu National Reserve
 to spot the “Special Five” (Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Gerenuk, and Somali ostrich).

Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The park is situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi and is home to a large number of game species common to Kenya’s northern plains.

These include gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, hippo, and the Nile crocodile that lives in the Ewaso Ng’iro River.
