0700 Hours – Hotel Pick-up: Transfer from your coastal resort or residence in Malindi or Watamu to the local helipad or airport

0730 Hours –  Take-off & Scenic Coastal Flight: Begin your aerial tour with views of the Malindi Marine Park and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Fly north towards the Sabaki River Mouth to see where the river joins the ocean.

0830 Hours – Tsavo River & Yatta Plateau: The flight turns inland, following the Galana/Tsavo River. Soar over the world’s longest lava flow, the Yatta Plateau, and look for “red” elephants and other wildlife from above

Malindi (formerly Melinde) is a town on Malindi Bay at the mouth of the Galana River, on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It is 120 kilometers northeast of Mombasa. It is the largest urban centre in Kilifi County. Tourism is the major industry in Malindi.

The city is exceptionally popular among Italian tourists. Malindi is served by a domestic airport and a highway between Mombasa and Lamu. The nearby Watamu resort and Gedi Ruins (also known as Gede) are south of Malindi.

The mouth of the Sabaki River lies in northern Malindi. The Watamu and Malindi Marine National Parks form a continuous protected coastal area south of Malindi.
