Nairobi National Park – Carnivore Restaurant Lunch & Bomas of Kenya Tour departs after breakfast. Our Nairobi Full Day trip starts with Nairobi National Park - where you get to see animals such as Rhinos, leopards, lions, giraffes, topi, wildebeest, zebras, elands, hartebeest, dik dik among many others.

Then followed by lunch at the world-famous Carnivore restaurant, where you will dine on an endless supply of meat - beef, pork, chicken, lamb, goat, and even ostrich and crocodile!

After lunch you get to visit the Bomas of Kenya - Bomas (homesteads) displays traditional villages belonging to the several Kenyan tribes together with cultural dances

Drive only 10 Kilometers to the unique wildlife sanctuary that is set against the dramatic skyline of Nairobi City. Nairobi National Park is home to the big five except the elephant and has more than 100 species of wildlife, hippos, crocodiles, and plenty of the migratory game.

You then proceed to the Carnivore Restaurant for lunch. No trip to Nairobi would be complete without lunch at the world-famous Carnivore restaurant, where you will dine on an endless supply of meat! Everyone who comes to Kenya must try the carnivore if they are true meat eaters.

Sample of the complete meat eating experience from regular meat to crocodile (all farm raised), camel etc. The restaurant also offers vegetarian dishes.

After the hearty lunch, depart for the Bomas of Kenya. Here there are numerous homesteads reflecting Kenya’s 42 different ethnic groups. They are depicted through traditional dancing, music; songs and folklore perform in the afternoon at the arena. Return back to your hotel residence in the evening.

Nairobi National Park

The 117 km2 Nairobi National Park is unique by being the only protected area in the world with a variety of animals and birds close to a capital city. As expected, the park is a principal attraction for visitors to Nairobi.

The Park also serves many residents and citizens living in the city and has a diversity of environments with characteristic fauna and flora. Open grass plains with scattered acacia bush are predominant.

The western side has a highland dry forest and a permanent river with a riverine forest in the south. In addition, there are stretches of broken bush country and deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. Man-made dams have also added a further habitat, favorable to certain species of birds and other aquatic biota (life forms). The dams also attract water dependent herbivores during the dry season.

Nairobi National Park is one of the most successful of Kenya's rhino sanctuaries that is already generating a stock for reintroduction in the species former range and other upcoming sanctuaries.

Due to this success, it is one of the few parks where a visitor can be certain of seeing a black rhino in its natural habitat. To the south of the park is the Athi-Kapiti Plains and Kitengela Migration and dispersal area. These are vital areas for herbivores dispersal during the rains and concentrate in the park in the dry season.

Roads: Located only about 7 km from the city centre, the Park is easily accessible on tarmac roads, mainly through Langata Road. There is an adequate administration and viewing road network with satisfactory signage.
