(Laikipia Wilderness Camp is located in the Laikipia North area of north-central Kenya. Laikipia Wilderness Camp is situated on a kopje overlooking the Ewaso Njiro river valley, this relatively simple camp has a modest canvas mess and guest accommodation in four large tents. The camp is a 5 hour drive from Nairobi traffic depending, and 2 hours from Nanyuki. Activities are centred on vehicle safari and walking safari, plus river swimming, camel riding and cultural interaction.

Laikipia Wilderness Camp is one of the simplest of the accommodation options in this area and is therefore able to provide the most authentic safari experience.

Laikipia Wilderness Camp is a small and personal bush camp with just 5 tents catering for 10 guests, en suite open air bathrooms with hot and cold running water. The camp has beautiful views of Mt Kenya and the wilderness and blends sympathetically into this stunning area of true wilderness.

The camp consists of a tented mess building with dining room, bar and sitting room/library, and a deck in front with open camp-fire in the evenings. Activities included are:

* Fly-camping under the stars
* Rock-Climbing, Swimming, Tubing and Fishing in the river

The area is fantastic for big numbers of elephants, giraffe, hippo, Grevy’s zebra, leopard, wild dog, lion, striped and spotted hyena, aardwolf, aardvark, and over 280 species of birds.

Laikipia Wilderness Camp works closely with the Laikipia Predator Project collecting data from our sightings of wild dogs and lions, some of whom are fitted with radio collars for this research and our guests are able to participate in this.

* Airstrip Transfers: For Private Charters use Sosian airstrip (30 Minutes) 100 US Dollars per vehicle

* Conservation fee 120 US Dollars per adult, 90 US Dollars per teenager and 60 US Dollars per child
