sets off for a whole day exploration at Jinja. This
tour will take you to where the mighty Nile starts its
long journey to Sudan, Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea.
En-route, you will branch off to Ssezibwa falls observations
in vegetation, relief that are worth seeing.
You
will head east passing through coffee, Tea and Sugar
plantations and the colorful roadside fruit/ vegetable
markets not forgetting the drive through Mabira forest.
Continue to Jinja to view the source of the Nile.
This
is a spot where John Speke first discovered the source
of the Nile River. Boat cruise is a must to the actual
source where the Lake water and the river water separate.
Lunch
will be in Jinja, you may opt for a short relaxation
in town for shopping in one of the towns still with
the colonial buildings. Retire to the hotel arriving
late in the evening.

Day Trip From Kampala, Uganda Itinerary
Jinja
was previously the industrial capital of Uganda. It
is best known for being the source of the river Nile
at the snow submerged Rippon Falls. Owen Falls Dam,
located just downstream from the Nile's source, provides
electrical power for Uganda and even parts of Kenya.
The
Nile starts its 4,000 mile journey to the Mediterranean
from Lake Victoria. Join us on this tour to see this
famous attraction and it's environs.
The
tour departs from Kampala, heading East to Jinja and
driving past coffee, Bujagali Falls tea and sugar plantations
and colorful roadside fruit/ vegetable markets. First
stop is at Mabira Forest to see primates, birds and
butterflies, then on to the Owen Falls Dam and the submerged
source of the river Nile.
Lunch
is at the exquisitely beautiful Samuka Island where
you can enjoy a variety of sumptuous African dishes.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at Bujagali Falls where
several rapids are situated close together. Return to
Kampala, arriving early evening.
