3 Days/ 2 Nights Murchison Falls National Park Safari takes you to Murchison Falls National Park located 320 kilometers North West of Kampala. The drive takes 5 hour drive. Murchison Falls National park is the largest park in the country and it is traversed by the great Nile River which provides with unique falls (by which the park derives its name).

A visit to the top of the falls offers a spectacular experience where several million gallons of water squeeze in a hardly 7 meter gap before it plunges into thunderous echo falling down 40 meters.

A boat Cruise to the bottom of the Falls will give you an amazing experience viewing large Nile Crocodiles, Hippos at a close range. The boat trip ends at the bottom of the falls.

Murchison Falls National Park lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna. The park hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 birds.

The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45 metres over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the centerpiece of the park and the final event in an 80 kilometers stretch of rapids.

The mighty cascade drains the last of the river's energy, transforming it into a broad, placid stream that flows quietly across the rift valley floor into Lake Albert. This stretch of river provides one of Uganda's most remarkable wildlife spectacles.

Regular visitors to the riverbanks include elephants, giraffes and buffaloes; while hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds are permanent residents.

Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda
Depart Kampala early morning after breakfast and drive northwards for Masindi before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Top of Murchison Falls.

Take a guided walk around the powerful Murchison Falls, with an optional mini-hike to view the sister falls - Uhuru Falls. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and check-in at your lodge for overnight.

Day 2: Explore Murchison Falls National Park (on a Game Drive & Boat Cruise)

After an early breakfast depart for a game-drive through the scenic Northern Route to the shores of Albert Nile. Explore the Parks amazingly high concentration of game in search for Lions, Giraffes, buffalos, Kobs, waterbucks, and Elephants. Return back to the lodge in the for lunch.

After we take the boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Lookout for Hippos, Nile crocodile, Waterbuck and a host of water birds.

A boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls is amongst the unforgettable experience the park has to offer giving the opportunity to view giraffe, elephants, groups of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, lions, and an abundance of bird life including the famous shoebill stork.

Return to the lodge for dinner and over night.
