2 Days/ 1 Night Akagera National Park Safari from Kigali Rwanda takes you to Akagera National Park - the perfect place for travelers who want to get off the beaten path in Rwanda. Located in eastern Rwanda, it shares the rolling, grassy hills of neighboring Tanzania (as opposed to the forested volcanoes of the northern national parks), and consequently boasts a range of large wildlife unmatched in other Rwandan parks.

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport/ depart from your hotel and drive to Akagera National Park, Eastern Rwanda which is approximately 2 and a half hours drive. On arrival, you will enjoy a nature walk. Have lunch and in the afternoon, go for the canoe ride on Lake Ihema.

This will reward you with views of aquatic animals such as Hippos, Crocodiles and water birds like the papyrus Gonolek, shoebill stork and African fish eagle.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Drive to Kigali

After breakfast, you will go for the early morning game drive which will reward you with views of wildlife such as elephants, impala, black-tailed mongoose, hippos, oribi, bushbuck, antelope, zebra, cape eland, giraffe, buffalo, and also primates like the olive baboon, vervet monkey, bush baby.

Return to the lodge for lunch and in the late afternoon, drive back to Kigali to be dropped off at your preferred hotel or transferred to the airport in time for departure flight.
