Mbweha-Camp-Lake-Nakuru

Mbweha Camp Lake Nakuru is a luxury safari camp located in the Congreve Conservancy, bordering Lake Nakuru National Park on the south eastern boundary and lies close to Lake Nakuru National Park – Kenya.

The camp affords beautiful views over the Eburru and Mau ranges. Mbweha Camp is easily accessible from Nairobi by road in about 3 hours along the Nairobi – Nakuru highway while Lake Nakuru is a 25-minutes drive away.

Mbweha Camp has access to a nearby airstrip for charter flights. Mbweha is the Kiswahili word for jackal. It is here that you can find all the three species of jackal found in East Africa, the Side-striped jackal, the Silver backed jackal and the golden jackal.

Congreve Conservancy has over 300 species of birds and is home to the majority of plains game such as eland, warthogs, zebras, leopard, grants, gazelle, waterbuck, impala, hyena, dik dik, buffalo, giraffe, aardvark, baboon and flamingo.

Mbweha Camp 10 cottages built of lava stone and thatched makuti roof add glamour and style to its contemporary African ambience.

Mbweha Camp features spacious rooms that are fitted with beds draped in mosquito netting, plush sofas, handmade mats and en suite bathrooms.

Every cottage is surrounded by indigenous trees that provide a relaxed atmosphere as you listen to the African night sounds of a lion roar or the laughter of the hyena in the distance.

The camp offers free Wi-Fi and has a spa, gym, sauna, swimming pool, restaurant and bar on site.

Some of the safari activities available at the camp include guided bush walks, bush meals, game drive in Soysambu and visits to Lake Elementaita hot springs.

Guests can also enjoy sundowners, guided hiking at ‘Delamere’s Nose’, day and night game drives and day trips into Nakuru National Park.
