Mara Bush Camp Masai Mara

Mara Bush Camp is a luxury tented safari accommodation discreetly tucked away in a riverine forest, overlooks the Olare Orok River. The camp has a great location in the heart of the Mara and close to the Ol Kiombo Airstrip. 

The camp can be reached either by road or by air. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 280 km. It usually takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes approximately 45 minutes. Scheduled flights land at Ol Kiombo Airstrip which is the closest to the airstrip to the camp.

Mara Bush Camp has 12 tents in a total of which 10 guest tents are river facing and 2 family tents that are larger than the standard guest tent able to accommodate a family of 4 (1 king-size double + 2 single beds). The tents are raised on wooden platforms, with large decks placed far from each other and natural vegetation and grass fences around them to guarantee complete privacy.

All 12 tents are spaciously designed with king-size and single beds, en-suite bathroom, hot & cold shower, and flushing toilet. each tastefully furnished with 4 poster beds with a mosquito net, clothes rack, storage chest, writing desk & furnished veranda.

A fully equipped mess tent is situated close by, where all meals are served. All meals at the camp are freshly prepared by the camp’s head chef, offering buffet lunches and set a’ la carte dinners. The chef will also ensure that picnic meals are readily available for all those who prefer to stay out in the bush all day long. 

Mara Bush Camp Masai Mara has a luxurious and comfortable lounge tent, where one can meet up with other guests to exchange safari experiences and highlights of the day or catch up on reading a book from the in-house library.

Inside the lounge, there is a bar and a separate photo lounge to charge camera equipment and laptops have been set up. The little boutique shop compliments the set -up and one can purchase unique souvenirs to take home.

Mara Bush Camp activities include; day game drives, sundowners, village visits, bush walks, hot air balloon safaris and night game drives. A Sundowner cocktail will help you unwind in front of a cozy campfire under the African stars with all its sounds of nature.

* Minimum Stay: 2 Nights (15th July to 15th Oct & 20th December to 6th January (one night on request)
* Child sharing with an adult, the single room rate is applicable + 50% of the per person sharing rate for the child
* New Year’s supplement of 50 US Dollars per adult per night & 20 per child per night on 31 December 2014 & 01st January
* Children aged 3-11 Years pay 50% of adult rate whilst sharing & 75% of adult rate while in own room (Minimum 2 Children)
* Christmas supplement on 24th, 25th, 26th December – 40 US Dollars per child per night & 35 US Dollars per adult per night
