Our 3-day/2-night Lake Nakuru National Park safari begins and ends in Nairobi and offers world-class game viewing in one of Kenya’s best game parks – Lake nakuru National Park, home to over 400 different bird species, including many water birds.

This birding haven hosts species such as the great white pelican, African spoonbill, yellow-billed stork, lesser and greater flamingo, and long-crested eagle. Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

1130 Hours – 1300 Hours: Arrival, check-in, and lunch at the lodge/ camp

Day 2: Full Day in Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park 3 Days 2 Nights road Safari is a thrilling wildlife holiday to Lake Nakuru National Park, best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores.

The Park has the largest concentration of Rhinos and predators like lions, cheetahs, and Leopards in Kenya. Lake Nakuru National Park is Kenya’s most visited Park and is located 160 kilometers from Nairobi, about 2½ hours away.

The main gate is located 4 km from Nakuru town. Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary, home to over 400 bird species, including large flocks of flamingos and many other water birds.

It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks. The Park also offers sanctuary to huge numbers of animals, including waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, eland, endangered black rhino, white rhino, and leopard.

A large herd of hippos has a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

0800 Hours: Today, we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, proceed on a game drive. There are also a number of Rothschild’s giraffes. Among the predators are lions and leopards, the latter of which is seen much more frequently in recent times.

The Park also has large pythons that inhabit the dense woodlands and can often be seen crossing roads or dangling from trees.

1300 Hours: Lunch, then relax as you enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Nakuru National Park.

1500 Hours: An exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful, and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant.

The Park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world-renowned, with over 400 species, including White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Storks.

It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and the rare Rothschild Giraffe.

1830 Hours: Return to the lodge/ camp for overnight

Day 2: Full Day in Lake Nakuru National Park

0630 Hours: An early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopards, which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park. Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary, home to over 400 bird species, including large flocks of flamingos and many other water birds.

It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks.

0900 Hours: Return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid morning and afternoon at leisure, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park.

1530 Hours: You will take a further game drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before sunset.
