Lake Magadi Sports Club Annex is an accommodation facility situated at the sports club an ideal spot for couples and families. The facility is situated on the shore of Lake Magadi which offers breathtaking scenery at sunset with the shadow of the Ngurumani escarpment. The camp is about 116 km from Kenya’s capital Nairobi (2 hours 30 minutes drive). The 4 annex rooms can comfortably accommodate 8 guests. The rooms are self-contained, made of ceramic tiles, have a reading table, and are fitted with Dstv. Compared to the tents, the annex has a bigger bed.

Fun Things To Do In Lake Magadi include star gazing at Magadi’s blue clear sky, hiking Mount Olorgesailie in Lake Magadi, swimming in the bubbling hot springs, birdwatching (Somali ostrich, flamingos, and Pelicans), game drives to see wildlife such as giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, zebras, wildebeests, and gerenuk, hyenas, lions, elephants, and buffalo.  Visit the Olorgesailie Prehistoric Site, swim at the pool, and enjoy the scenic Magadi landscape, cultural Maasai village visit, etc.

Each self-contained room is spacious and features ceramic tiles, a reading table, a mosquito net, and a satellite TV. The bathrooms are en-suite with showers. There is also a spacious campsite where guests are welcome to pitch their tents. There is an outdoor pool where guests can take a dip in the hot Magadi days.

The onsite restaurant serves a variety of dishes both Al-carte and buffet menu. Guests enjoy their meals in the spacious dining area. There is a well-stocked bar that serves a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks. In the evening at Lake Magadi Sports Club Annex, a bonfire is lit and the cool soft wind blows across this area as visitors enjoy music and dinner as well as drinks.

The mining dredges on the lake also form an amazing sight at night with the lighting of the waterlines to the factory.

Lake Magadi Sports Club Annex activities include; Game Drives, Hot Springs Bath, Trekking and Hiking – Landscape Viewing, Star Gazing – Night Bonfire With Nyama Choma, Bird Watching & Cultural Maasai Boma Visit.

Lake Magadi has a number of wild animals to see: the most common wildlife includes the giraffe, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and gerenuk. Other animals can also be seen at specific times of the early morning and late evening around the lake and in the conservancy – this includes hyenas, lions, buffalos, and elephants.
