Kimana Mara Tented Camp

Kimana Mara Tented Camp is a small camp situated on the banks of Sekenani River 2 kilometers(5 minutes drive) from Sekenani Gate close to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. 

The camp is situated 2km away from Sekenani gate as it is on the border of the Masai Mara National Reserve, You can access it from both inside and outside the Game reserve. The nearest airstrips are Keekorok or Siana airstrips.

Masai Mara Game Reserve is situated in South-Western Kenya and is the Northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Masai Mara lies about 270 Kilometers from Nairobi and takes about 4 to 5 hours by Road and 45 Minutes by Air.

Kimana Mara Tented Camp has 35 canvas tents, each with an en-suite bathroom with hot water showers and flush toilets. The tents are in secluded positions and are linked by raised brick and timber walkways amongst ancient Jackal Berry trees. The tents sleep up to 3 guests.

There is also a campsite for the guests who want to camp away from the main tents. Guests can come with their own tents or use those within the camp. The campsite has its own dining, kitchen, and shared toilet and bathrooms with hot water.

There is an onsite restaurant that serves a  wide variety of meals ranging from local to continental dishes. The camp has an in-house lounge/bar which offers drinks for the utmost enjoyment of all guests.

Other lodge amenities include; Daily housekeeping, bar/lounge, Outdoor pool, and 24-hour room service. The camp also has electricity via a well-muffled generator as well as sockets for charging your phones and running basic appliances. 

Approximately 1.3 million gnus, over 200,000 zebras, and 350,000 gazelles and antelopes migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to Maasai Mara. There they have to cross the Mara River which forms a natural barrier for the wild animals.

Activities in the Kimana Mara Tented Camp include; hot air balloon safaris, sundowners, walking safaris, night game drives, bush dinners, bush breakfasts, day game drives, bird watching, and Maasai village visits.
