Kichakani Camp Masai Mara

Kichakani Camp Masai Mara is a simple but classic camp nestled located in the Talek area of the Koiyaki conservancy in the Masai Mara. The camp sits on the banks of the Talek River just next to a major wildebeest crossing point offering a panorama of the Burrungat and Posee plains on its sides.

Talek River provides a unique boundary between the camp and the only physical boundary between the park and the camp. The tents are in the midst of large fig trees and croton bushes. With its perfect proximity to the park, offers excellent game viewing starting at the camp.

The Camp is 5 minutes from the Talek gate and 25 minutes a game drive from Olkiombo airstrip. Kichakani Camp Masai Mara is 5 ½ hours from Nairobi by road and 45 minutes by air.

Kichakani Camp Masai Mara’s décor and architecture are intentionally simplistic in nature, with semi-permanent grass-thatched bandas fitted with tents with a bed capacity of 33 guests under canvas. Each en-suite tent has bedside tables, luggage racks, rags, floor mats, flush toilets, and hot shower, and a deck for outdoor sitting. The tents are fully insect and bug-proof.

The camp has a large reception area with a spacious lounge; guests can sit and relax or just unwind between meals and game drives. The food served is a fusion of African and International cuisines. The bar area is also a popular spot for a quiet evening. There is an outdoor pool where guests can relax and unwind.

The vehicles are equipped with HF radios for easy communication with the camp management during game drives encase anything happens to the guests or vehicle.
