Epiya Chapeyu Tented Camp Tsavo East is an affordable safari accommodation situated along the banks of the Galana River, at the foot of the Yatta plateau in the heart of the Tsavo East National Park.

The safari Camp is surrounded by indigenous African landscape and vegetation such as the Galana River, the Doum Palms and Acacia trees.

The camp is approximately 5 hours drive from Nairobi. Manyani Gate of Tsavo East National Park is 40 km away.

There are 18 spacious tents spread across a large riverside area. Each tent has wardrobe, safari chairs and coffee table and furnished veranda with view of the Galana River where a wide variety of animals come to drink.

Triple and four-bed tents are also available on request. The bathrooms are en-suite and have double sinks, hot showers and flush toilets.

The tents have flagstone bases with makuti thatched roof. Free WiFi is available. The onsite restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine; fresh homemade pastas, like ravioli, gnocchi, tagliatelle, “Cotolette alla Milanese”.

The “mini Pizzas”, are cooked on wood embers in our own clay oven. There is an elevated game-viewing platform with bar service.

Guests can enjoy their meals wooden terrace overlooking the river and in the evening a candlelight dinner under the stunning canopy of stars.

Guests in Epiya Chapeyu Tented Camp Tsavo East can enjoy visits to the Lugard`s Falls, Aruba Dam, Crocodile Point and game drives in the Tsavo East National Park.

Epiya Chapeyu Tented Safari Camp is approximately 4 hours drive from Nairobi (via Manyani Gate) and from Malindi/ Watamu (via Sala Gate).

Lugard’s Falls , Aruba Dam, Crocodile Point and other attractions are within a short distance from the camp.
