Andbeyond Serengeti Under Canvas Tented Camps Flying Safaris offer a classic Tanzanian luxury safari – with only the canvas walls of your tent separating you from the wonder of the Serengeti.

These two migratory camps are carefully plotted to coincide with the documented movements of the annual Great Migration as it traverses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania plains.

The aim is to position the camps within easy driving distance of the migration on daily game drives. Immense preparation and effort goes into moving the camp every two to three weeks in order to bring guests as close as possible to the migration.

With only nine tents nestled at each private campsite, enjoy the indulgence of complete comfort combined with the authenticity of nights spent in the African bush.

Serengeti Under Canvas Camps consists of 9 large, luxury tents with en-suite bucket showers which are open to the sky, and separate flush toilets. These have high-quality fixtures and fittings, including Indian rugs and percale linens.

There’s also a stylish dining and lounge tent, where you’ll be served using crystal glasses and silver. Expect excellent food. However, note that there’s no running water or electricity – but there are gas lamps dotted around the camp, and each tent has battery-operated lighting and a torch is supplied.

(There is a power outlet (220volts Alternate Current) in the vehicles which can be used to charge camera batteries.)

Activities include guided Great Migration experience; stargazing; Hot air ballooning; day trips to Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands (Seasonal)
