Amber House Lamu Old Town is a stunning Swahili House located in the Lamu Old Town, approximately 22 kilometers North of Malindi.
Lamu Island is about some 350 kilometers North of Mombasa. The rooms and sitting areas are adorned with Swahili furniture, antiques, brass and hand-woven throws.
There are 3 spacious bedrooms, each fitted with mosquito net and en-suite bathroom. The house comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests.
The master bedroom has its own large private terrace overlooking the Lamu Old town and the creek. Two rooms have king size beds and the third bedroom has 3 large single beds.
The house is designed around a tranquil courtyard and also has a plunge pool and a rooftop terrace with views over Old Town.
The house is on self catering or catered basis where guests are welcomed to prepare their own meals or have the chef prepare meals for them.
The chef prepares meals from fresh local produce and specializes in traditional coastal Swahili dishes.
