A variety of animals can be seen: lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, kongoni, waterbuck, klipspringer, impala, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more. (You can arrive in Mombasa the previous day or on same day before the safari begins and make yourselves available at the hotel by 7.00 a.m. Mombasa airport arrival meet, greet and transfer service is optional and can be easily organized. If you would like to stay at beach hotels in Kenya, rooms must be booked in advance to ascertain availability).

Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Mombasa North or South Coast Beach Hotel – Tsavo West National Park

This morning you will be picked at your beach hotel in Mombasa at 7.00 a.m. and drive via an air-conditioned shuttle service to park gate, where you are met by your guide and vehicle. Drive to Severin Safari Camp in Tsavo West National Park with a game drive on route, arriving for a well prepared and tasty lunch menu. Check in to your camp and relax in the lounge area with spectacular views of wildlife at the waterhole just 100 meters away. Complete the day in Tsavo West National Park with game drive and return to camp for dinner and overnight at Severin Safari Camp. Activities Included: Day game driving.

Day 2

Tsavo West National Park – Mombasa North or South Coast Beach Hotel

After an early wake up call, a morning game drive is experienced. Chief among Tsavo West National Park ranks the marvel of Mzima Springs, replenished with two hundred and twenty million liters of crystal-clear water every day, from the underground streams stemming from the lava massif known as the Chyulu Hills, 40-50 kilometers away. Mzima forms a haven for a rich wildlife pageant with elephant soaking half immersed in the waters, light footed but ponderous looking hippo, apparently weightless, tip-toeing across the bottom, crocodiles basking on the bank or swirling through the water; gazelles, zebra and giraffe wandering around the banks through the thick acacias and raffia palms together with hundreds of chattering monkeys and birds.

Another Afternoon game drive is planned.

Day 3

Tsavo West National Park – Mombasa

Morning game drive in the Park. Return to camp for breakfast. Check out from Severin Safari Camp, returning to Mombasa via an air-conditioned shuttle service with a drop-off at your Mombasa beach hotel before lunch.
