Tortilis Camp Amboseli Safari Activities

Laze by the pool with a refreshing drink. Swim and relax until it’s time for a game drive and sundowners. Tortilis Camp is renowned for its delicious home style cuisine. Fresh herbs and vegetables are grown in camp and homemade pasta, Tortilis' specialty, is carefully prepared by the chef, trained by the owner's mother in good Italian home cooking. And to work up your appetite, you can enjoy the luxury of stepping out of the camp with a Masai expert for a guided game walk outside the park. Alternatively, African Spice Safari driver-guides will take you on a game drive through the Park in a custom built 4x4 safari vehicles. Tortilis is open all year round.

Access

* Tortilis Camp has raised funds to build a school for the local villages; visits to the school and neighboring villages can be arranged.
* Tortilis Camp, Masai Guides lead walks into the bush, passing on knowledge of traditional medicinal and uses of local flora and Masai folklore.
* A walk in the bush is part of the magic of a safari: following the spoor of the animals passing camp the night before, smelling the crushed leaves where animals have fed, listening to the bird calls and watching them overhead, this way you touch and feel the wild.
