Thomsons Falls Lodge is a historic eco-lodge sitting on a 10-acre lawn shaded by African Olives and cedar trees. The lodge is situated directly opposite the spectacular Thomson’s Falls on the Ewaso Narok river, which drops a sheer 243 feet over a volcanic rock ledge, a magnificent natural wonder discovered by Scottish geologist Joseph Thomson in 1883.

Set at a high altitude of 7,800 feet (2,377.44 meters) above sea level at the northern foot of the Aberdare range, the lodge offers a truly unique atmosphere. Thomsons Falls Lodge in Nyahururu has 36 guestrooms, including standard rooms, deluxe rooms, honeymoon suites, and cottages. Each en-suite room is tastefully furnished with satellite TV, telephone, table and chair, tea/coffee-making facilities, and a cozy fireplace.

The cottages still maintain their distinctive colonial architecture and are surrounded by well-manicured, mature gardens. They each have 2 rooms, a spacious furnished lounge, a fridge, and bathtubs.

Meals can be served in the garden restaurant on the beautiful lawns of the falls, where guests can hear the gushing fall of water, or in the main restaurant inside the colonial building, with its solid wooden architecture of days gone by.

There is an in-house bar that serves both local and international beverages. There are elegantly furnished lounges with fireplaces to keep guests warm on chilly evenings as they relax.

Thomsons Falls Lodge in Nyahururu has 2 conference rooms that can accommodate between 40 and 350 guests. The halls are having PA systems, flip charts, marker pens, power sockets, and a technician on call.

The lodge has beautiful, well-manicured lawns that provide ideal venues for weddings and camping. In the evening, bonfires are lit in designated areas where guests can sit around the fire pit with drinks, recap the day’s adventures, or listen to African stories and history about the lodge.
