LODGE SAFARIS IN TANZANIA
(4 Days / 3Nights) ARUSHA -LAKE MANYARA-NGORONGORO.
This is a 4-day safari, featuring both Ngorongoro
Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Ngorongoro
crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the
world and has been described as one of the great
natural wonders of the world. Lake Manyara National
Park, on the other hand is two-thirds water,
one-third dry land and it is home to a spectacular
concentration of game and is famous for the
elusive tree-climbing lions. Accommodation is
at Ngorongoro Sopa lodge/ Ngorongoro Serena
Lodge, all situated on the rim of Ngorongoro
Crater.
Day 1. Arusha-Ngorongoro
Crater
Lunch will be served at Impala Hotel in Arusha
at 1200 hrs. Thereafter depart for Ngorongoro
Conservation Area at 1400 hrs. You arrive in
the evening, check-in and dinner follows at
the lodge. The lodge sits on the rim of the
Ngorongoro Crater from where you have awesome
views of the collapsed volcano. Overnight at
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge/Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 2. Explore
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for a ‘Spice game drive
into the crater. The drive commences with the 600 m
(2000ft) descent to the crater floor, a magnificent
natural amphitheatre. Covering 260 sq. km, the crater
is an attraction in its own right and is one of the
wonders of the natural world. The crater supports a
year round resident population of a variety of wildlife.
You will have an easy time spotting Lion, Elephant,
Buffalo and many species of plain animals- Wildebeest,
Zebra, Reedbuck, Thompson Gazelle and many more. You
will have packed picnic lunch on the crater floor. Overnight
at your lodge.

Day 3. Ngorongoro
Crater-Lake Manyara
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National
Park to arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.
1500 hrs- you go for an evening game drive in
Lake Manyara National Park. The Park covers
330 sq. km, 70% of which is occupied by the
Lake. The varied ecosystem consists of ground
water forests, acacia woodland and open grassland
along the lakeshore and sustains a wealth of
wildlife, including the Big Five -Lion, Elephant,
Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo. The Park is famous
for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit
the woodland between the Lake and the Rift Valley.
It is also an ornithologists’ paradise
and is host to over 400 species of birds. You
will spend the night at Lake Manyara Serena
Lodge/Lake Manyara wildlife lodge. These lodges
are perched on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment
and have great views of the Great Rift Valley
and Lake Manyara. Approx Transit time: 1½

Day 4. Lake Manyara-Arusha
At 0630 hours- you will go for an early morning
game drive in the Park. Temperatures are cool
in the early morning period and it is a good
time to spot animals. Return to the lodge for
breakfast and thereafter check out mid morning.
Depart for Arusha to arrive in time for lunch
at the Impala Hotel.
