(3 Days / 2 Nights) NGORONGORO CRATER

This 3 Days safari features only Ngorongoro Crater, a true wonder of the natural world, famous for its sunken caldera formed over a million years ago. Indigenous Masai, their livestock as well as a startling variety of plant, animal and birdlife species, inhabit the crater in harmony. Accommodation is at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge/Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge /Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

 

Day 1: Nairobi - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast depart your Nairobi hotel and drive to Namanga town, border between Kenya and Tanzania. After immigration formalities, continue to Arusha for lunch. Proceed to Ngorongoro for overnight on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge/Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge /Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Meal plan: {L, D}

Day 2. Explore Ngorongoro Crater
After an early morning breakfast, you will descend into the crater for a half-day ‘Spice’ game viewing. Many refer Ngorongoro Crater as “The eighth wonder of the world” The crater walls are 2000ft high and the floor spreads for 102sq miles, a truly awesome sight. It contains a river, several swamps, soda lake-complete with flamingoes, a forest and open plains. The crater is home to almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa that includes, Gazelles, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Rhino, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Zebra and numerous Hippo. Eagles, cranes, storks and hundred of other birds also inhabit this spectacular area. Enjoy picnic lunch before returning to the lodge for relaxation and dinner. Meal plan: (B, L, D}

Day 3. Ngorongoro Crater-Arusha
Depart after breakfast and drive back to Arusha. Lunch will be at Impala Hotel. After lunch, continue to Nairobi arriving early evening.
