Southern Palms Beach Resort rooms are fully air-conditioned and feature a locally carved "Pili Pili" four-poster double bed and a standard size day bed that can convert into a second bed. Southern Palms Beach Resort Bars – 5 bars, Main Bar is open 24 hours daily. Southern Palms Beach Resort has 5 restaurants located at several parts of the hotel. The Main Restaurant features a different "theme" every night. This is where you will also have your breakfast and lunch if you are on full board or all inclusive.

The hotel offers the 'Garden Terrace Restaurant, which features wide buffet selections as well as BBQ's. Live entertainment is provided. The Khus Khus Bar offers both drinks and snacks.

The activities on offer include swimming, snorkeling, sea kayaking, diving, water sports, dhow trips, glass-bottom boat trips, nature trails, butterfly farms, places of historic interest, visits to the nearby Shimba Hills (a coastal national park with plentiful elephant) or to the world-famous Arabuko Sokoke Forest, one of the last of the rainforests.

Other attractions
This beach is also an active nesting ground for the endangered Hawksbill Turtle. A nesting or hatching is a ‘must see' between the months of June and August, but hatchings may be seen as late as December.
