Selous Wildlife Lodge; Selous Serena Wildlife Lodge is a tented luxury in the Heart of Nature. Selous Wildlife Lodge is set amidst dense indigenous forests of the Selous Game Reserve in Southern Tanzania and is the ultimate wilderness retreat.

Selous Serena Wildlife Lodge has 360-degree views over the surrounding bush and the twelve widely spaced tents are presented in time-honored safari style, with natural thatch roofs, elegant Victorian-styled bathrooms, private viewing decks and plunge pools. Luxuriously presented, each tent features an engaging mix of canvas walls, crystal chandeliers, opulent rugs and elegant rosewood furniture.

Selous Serena Wildlife Lodge charming central dining room, lounge, library and bar are all located deep within the wilderness and each have their own spacious timber and thatched chalets, which are interconnected by broad wooden walkways offering excellent views of the hippos and elephants of the nearby Simbazi River, which is a tributary of the mighty Rufiji River.

High above the lodge is a spectacular ‘infinity’ pool and sundeck; also an exclusive aromatherapy spa, where a wide range of entirely natural massages, scrubs and body wraps are offered. Selous Wildlife Lodge comprises of 12 well appointed tents positioned under individually grass-thatched structures, luxuriously furnished with adjoining colonial bathrooms.

All the tents are well positioned to offer optimum game viewing as well as privacy and exclusivity. All the tents are set on a wooden deck under a thatch covering.

Selous Wildlife Lodge offers just 12 exclusive tents which are widely spaced amongst the indigenous forest. To the rear of the tent is the en-suite bathroom, which features a Victorian claw-foot bath, shower and WC.

Each tent is tastefully furnished with luxury double or twin beds, polished rosewood furniture, opulent rugs and crystal chandeliers. Selous Wildlife Lodge tents all enjoy an extensive private sun-deck, lounger and river views.

Selous Wildlife Lodge has a separate dining area and guest lounge overlooking the natural watering hole which is also lit in the evenings for night viewings.

This is all complemented by an outside viewing deck and swimming pool. Slightly raised on timber decks , the open-sided dining room offers a selection of exclusive seating areas, an elegant library, a charming lounge and a safari bar.

Selous Wildlife Lodge breakfast and lunch are presented in buffet-style and feature a wide range of international choices. In typical safari style, we offer a ‘full English Breakfast' as well as European options while our lunch menus will typically include meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian options.

Selous Wildlife Lodge table d'hôte dinner menus feature a salad buffet, soup, entrée, pudding, cheese and biscuits and tea or coffee. Vegetarian options are always available.

The majority of Selous Wildlife Lodge meat and dairy products, as well as the fruits and vegetables are sourced from the communities that surround the reserve.
