Sarova Mara Game Camp; Sarova Mara Game Camp is located in the heart of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in South West Kenya, 260 kilometers from Nairobi. Mara Sarova Tented Camp is a 40 minute flight from Nairobi and is a 20 minute drive from Keekorok airstrip and a 5 hour drive from Nairobi by road.

Sarova Mara Game Camp is set on an elevation surrounded by two streams. The Camp is uniquely laid out over the sprawling grounds that include rolling manicured greens, a virtual mini forest of indigenous shrubs and exotic trees, a large pond stocked with fish, mini bird sanctuary and an authentic Masai Village adjoining the Camp.

Sarova Mara Game Camp consists of 20 Club Tents, 51 Standard Tents, 2 Family Tents, a Main Restaurant, Bar and many bush dining options. The free form swimming pool has its own pool bar. There are meeting rooms and numerous outdoor venues for dining and leisure.

Sarova Mara Game Camp is surrounded by a 24 hour electric fence. The climate is very pleasant with clear warm days and cool nights. Temperatures average from 26 degrees Celsius during the day to 10 degrees Celsius at night. There are sporadic rains in March, April, November & December.

Sarova Mara Game Camp offers opportunities for a hot air balloon ride - one of the most amazing ways to experience the Masai Mara.

Balloon safaris are ideally suited to the Masai Mara as the open, treeless, plains allow many of the animals to be seen from the air and viewed from an altitude of several thousand feet, the savannah scenery is breathtaking.

Balloon Safaris take off just before dawn so that you are high above the plains in time for sunrise. Flights lasts for approximately one hour drifting wherever the wind current takes you. Once back on terra firma, the flight is celebrated with a glass of champagne and a breakfast in the bush.

Sarova Mara Game Camp Walking Safaris

Sarova Mara Game Camp offers a selection of long walks on the nature trails within the greater Mara area along the periphery of the park. The walks center on the wildlife, bird-life, plant-life as well as topography that the Masai Mara is famous for.

The duration of these walks is approximately 2 1/2 hrs to 3 hrs covering a distance of 9 - 15 Kilometers, and includes a packed lunch and game drives en route to and from the walking safari location.
