FLYING SAFARIS FROM NAIROBI TO SAMBURU

Fly from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your safari lodge or tented camp, where you will stay on a Full Board basis and enjoy morning and afternoon ‘Spice ‘ game drives in a 4 wheel drive safari vehicle, as you explore the surrounding area and track down wildlife. We use either the Samburu Intrepids Camp/Samburu Serena/Sarova Shaba Lodge or Larsen's Camp, all of which offer high standards of comfort in a traditional safari setting and are situated in shady areas beside the Uaso Nyiro River. Tents are set on a wooden platform under thatched roof. All have en-suite bathrooms with normal flush lavatories and hot showers. In all the camps/Lodges there is a restaurant, bar, lounge and swimming pool.

TOUR 1 (3 Days 2 Nights) Samburu Game Reserve by Air

Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu
After breakfast at your Nairobi Hotel, transfer you to Wilson airport for Samburu Game Reserve. With it's backdrop of rocky outcrops and prominent Mountain ranges to the North, it’s Doum Palm trees and Riverine forest, Samburu National Reserve has an exotic feel in it. A ‘Spice gamedrive will be conducted en-route to your lodge. After check-in into our lodge on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River, we have lunch, and on a late afternoon 'Spice' game drive we are introduced to the unique species of this Northern Frontier District. You will see wildlife absent in the Southern Hemisphere that includes Gravy Zebra's, Reticulated Giraffe's, Somali Ostrich and much more. Overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge /Sarova Shaba lodge. Day 2: Explore Samburu National Reserve
Today we will see more of Africa's spectacular wildlife on two exciting 'spice' game drives in this fascinating Game Reserve. In between 'Spice' game drives, you could do some excellent optional bird watching, nature walks on the lodge’s grounds. You will also enjoy watching a crocodile feeding session along the river. Day 3: Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi
After a leisure breakfast, board a plane from Samburu and fly direct to Nairobi arriving at noontime. Transfer you to your Nairobi resident Hotel. Meal Plan [B}.
