Day
1: Nairobi fly to Mombasa Island
Breakfast
will be served at the city hotel followed by check out.
Transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
or Wilson Airport for schedule flight to Mombasa. Mombasa
offers a diverse cultural history.
The City traces many of its cultural traditions to former
Portuguese, Arab and British settlers all of which have
left a lasting influence on the City’s food, architecture,
and people. The city has undoubtedly one of the best
white sandy beaches in Africa, the warm waters of the
Indian Ocean cater to all types of tourists: those looking
for a quiet swim, a place for kids to play, deep-sea
fishing, and water sports activities such as scuba diving
and sailing.
Meet and great at Moi International Airport, Mombasa,
you will then be transferred to the Hotel. Have an afternoon
at leisure.

2: Explore Mombasa Island
Breakfast
will be served at the hotel. Spend the day at leisure
or book any of the several optional activities: Attractions
in and around Mombasa include Fort Jesus National Museum
which is a monumental piece of architecture that was
built in the 16th century by the Portuguese and displays
various artifacts.
Mombasa
Old town with its interesting architecture, art and
curios. A walk through its winding streets takes you
back centuries. Hindu temples are one of the many symbols
of Mombasa’s cultural diversity. The Mombasa “Tusks”
are symbolic representations of entrance into the heart
of the town. The tusks were built to commemorate the
visit of Queen Elizabeth to the town in 1952.
The
Mombasa Marine Reserve is very popular for snorkeling
and diving and for viewing the beautiful coral gardens
and fish. Mamba Village is said to be the largest crocodile
farm in the world. Haller Park is the largest animal
sanctuary in Mombasa and boasts an enormous variety
of animals, reptiles, insects and botanical gardens.
Bombolulu
Workshops which consists of a Cultural Centre with eight
traditional homesteads and disabled craftsmen/women
who produce jewelery, hand printed textiles, wood carvings
and leather crafts.
The
Ngomongo Villages are a perfect stop for those who have
interest in how the coastal people live. Gedi Ruins
was a small town built entirely from rocks and stones.
In addition there is Shimba Hills National Park and
Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve.
The
island is also an excellent location for diving, snorkeling,
fishing, sunbathing on the white sandy beaches as well
as shopping as the island has some excellent gifts shops.

3: Depart
Mombasa fly
to Nairobi
After
breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Moi International
Airport for your schedule flight to Nairobi. Either
you have an overnight in Nairobi or connect your international
flight back home.
