Offbeat Meru Camp; Offbeat Meru Camp is a luxury semi-permanent camp located just outside Meru National Park about 80 km east of Meru or 350 km from Kenya's capital city, Nairobi. Offbeat Meru Camp is a twelve bed luxury camp Meru National Park in Bisanadi National Reserve. The camp is small, traditional and located on the edge of Meru National Park in the Bisanadi National Reserve.

Offbeat Meru Camp is a 12 bedded luxury semi-permanent camp situated just outside the park in Bisanandi National Reserve, set above the pretty Bisanandi River. Meru National Park offers visitors a chance to visit one of Kenya's most magical parks away from the masses. Meru National Park has a wide variety of landscapes and is dominated by savannah, but includes riverine forest and swamps. The park is bisected by 13 rivers which flow towards the Tana river in the south and rise in the Nyambene Hills to the west.

Meru National Park has excellent game viewing opportunities which include Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, Black and White Rhino's, Eland, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Grant's Gazelle, Grevy's Zebra, Lesser Kudu and Reticulated Giraffe as well as over 280 species of birds. Offbeat Meru Camp will be hosted by Adrian Allen.

Offbeat Meru Camp Meru Accommodation

Offbeat Meru Camp itself comprises of six tents, three twins and three doubles. Each tent is furnished with a huge Iron bed, and has its own en-suite bathroom, with traditional bucket shower and flushing loo. In addition, there is 24 hour solar lighting in the tents, whilst the rest of the camp is lit by traditional tilly lamps. Informal dining is hosted in the mess tent or around the stunning swimming pool. Offbeat Meru Camp also has spacious living room with comfortable sofas, a writing table and fully stocked bar.

Offbeat Meru Camp Seasons

Offbeat Meru Camp is open for two distinct periods. The camp is open in Mid-December through to the end of March and remains closed for the long rains to re-open on 1st June until end of October. The climate is hot with low humidity.
