OffBeat Meru Camp Flying Safari Package takes you to Meru National Park - home to the big five as well as a great number of other species including Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Leopard, Gerenuk and Lesser Kudu.

Meru National Park has 13 rivers which flow through the area encouraging a spectacular variety of bird life. Immortalized by Joy Adamson in her book 'Born Free' and with only 2 lodges the likelihood of seeing anyone else while you stay here is small - you feel you have the Park to yourself.

Your superb accommodations are at Offbeat Meru Camp - which consists of only 6 tents - 3 twin and 3 double. Each tent is furnished with a large iron bed, its own en-suite bathroom, traditional safari style bucket shower and flushing loo.

In addition, there is 24 hour solar lighting in the tents, while the rest of the camp is lit by traditional 'tilly' lamps. Informal dining is hosted in the mess tent or around the camp fire. There is also a spacious 'mess' tent with comfortable sofas, a writing table and bar.

Meru National Park in Kenya gets quite hot during the dry season. After an active morning in the bush there's no better feeling than coming back to Offbeat Meru Camp and cooling off in the stunning infinity swimming pool watching the wildlife as they come to drink from the Bisanadi river 30 steps from the main dining area.
