Steve's
Steak House Restaurant at the Ngong Race Course
Steve's steak house
at the Ngong Race Course; Steve's steak house is all
about beef; the proprietor Steve is a man passionate
about the intricacies that go into preparation of
a good steak. So particular are the processes involved
that the end product on your plate is as much science
as it is art. Set in the beautiful Ngong Race Course,
this restaurant is all about a wild menu in a contemporary
ambience.
For
the patron who has no delight in sport, engage in
playful banter with the bartender, as he indulges
your taste buds to the restaurants exclusive cocktails.
The exterior of the restaurant is the wind element.
It literally exists on the outside seating which opens
to the gentle tempered breeze of the racecourse grounds.
This patio has a divine view of the manicured lawns
that spread in a glorious green. A subdued tapestry
of tents over the seating area casts a cooling shadow
from the sun. It's the perfect place to take down
a hot mocha or latte. Steve's, however, is all about
the steak. The integrity begins with the sourcing;
the beef is from specially bred cattle, Aberdeen Angus
to be exact. They are professionally slaughtered then
matured in chillers for 14-21 days to preserve the
flavor. The end product: sirloin steak dyed with spiced
butter accompanied with an array of side dishes that
includes anything from French fries to noodles. Also
watch out for the tilapia if you are not too keen
on the beef, it will not disappoint.
