Mpata Safari Club Masai Mara

Mpata Safari Club Lodge is a 5-star safari accommodation perched right on top of the Oloololo escarpment in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Club is endowed with a breathtaking view of the panoramic Masai Mara and the Mara River, with a splendid view of the hippo-filled waters.

The lodge is a Five Star Safari accommodation, got the name after a great Tanzanian artist whose paintings are held in high esteem worldwide and that is S.G Mpata.

Generally, the Mpata Safari Club Lodge environment is designed for those who love Africa, by those who know it. Mpata Safari Club was designed by Edward Suzuki, an internationally renowned Architect who put the whole club under one great roof that covers the restaurant, bar, library, gift shop, and office.

Mpata Safari Club can be reached either by road or by air. The distance from Nairobi to the camp is 280 km. It usually takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes approximately 45 minutes. Scheduled flights land at Kichwa Tembo Airstrip which is 15 km away or Ngerende Airstrip which is a 10-minute drive away.

Mpata Safari Club Lodge has 23 cottages comprising 11 suite tents and 12 deluxe tents. Each tent has a mini bar, closet, verandah, and an en-suite bathroom with a Shower stall and flush toilets. The suites have an outdoor Jacuzzis, sitting rooms, kitchenettes, and dressing areas with a vanity table cum mirror.

With the dining experience, it is important to note that most of the meals served at Mpata Safari Club are prepared based on recipes by Kiyomi Mikuni, a world-renowned chef and even so, the menu at Mpata Club are ever-changing because they have got a variety and this by less doubt enhances your stay.

Meanwhile, Mpata Safari Club Lodge combines African flavor with international recipes, which are prepared by internationally trained chefs, underscoring Mpata’s vision to consistently maintain a 5-star rating.

The onsite bars are fully stocked and serve a variety of drinks such as local beers, wines, original cocktails, and soft drinks. Guests can enjoy themselves and relax at the outdoor swimming pool after game drives. There is a library with field guides, photographic magazines, and novels.

Mpata Safari Club Lodge activities include; game drives, nature walks, Maasai village visits, beadwork, and hot air balloon safari. Guest can hold a marriage ceremony following Maasai tradition.
