Porini Camp Masai Mara

Porini Camp Masai Mara is a non-seasonal safari camp located in Ol Kinyei Conservancy outside Masai Mara National Reserve about 18 km away. The Conservancy is set aside as a wildlife sanctuary one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Serengeti-Mara eco-system. The area has open plains, forests, rivers, and stunning views.

Ol Kinyei belongs to Masai communities who have recently set aside the conservancy as a sanctuary for wildlife. The conservancy holds a wide variety of animal species for which the Mara is famous including a large resident pride of lions. 

Ol Kinyei is about 250 km from Nairobi. It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about 45 minutes. Mara Porini Camp has its own private airstrip for charter flights and the Siana airstrip used by the daily scheduled flights is 16 km away from the camp.

The award-winning Porini Mara Camp is located in a unique and beautiful setting under yellow-barked Acacia trees along the banks of the Laetoli.

Porini Camp Masai Mara contains just 5 spacious guest tents and one family unit. Porini Mara Camp has an exclusive yet friendly feel, with each tent containing comfortable furnishings and en-suite facilities (with a hot shower and flush toilet).

The family unit at Porini Mara Camp is an H-shaped tent located about 20 meters from the main areas. The unit is made of high-quality canvas, and is spacious, each wing measuring 64 square meters and the lounge is 16 square meters. It consists of two rooms with a lounge in between.

Each of the two rooms has a king-size bed and a single bed, The high-quality, spacious tent is tastefully furnished and has solar-powered lighting, en-suite facilities (with hot shower and flush toilet), and a private veranda. The unit is ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together and is at the same price per person as our other tents.

Guests can relax in the lounge area, enjoying a drink as the sun sets over the Masai Mara. The camp Chef uses fresh ingredients to prepare high-quality meals and even home-baked bread. The camps bar serves a variety of drinks like gin, tonics, wine, beer, sodas, and mineral water.

Porini Camp Masai Mara activities include; bird watching, village visits, sundowners, bird watching, and Game drives (shared) in 4×4 safari vehicles with expert safari guides, guided safari walks, and hot air balloons safaris.
