MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE – (2 Days /1 NIGHT BY AIR)

Fly from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Park. We have several choices of the leading tented camps in the Mara for the experience of sleeping under canvas but in luxurious conditions! The camps have 30 tents for guest accommodation as well as dining area and bar. Tents are built on a cement base or wooden platform under thatched roof or heavy-duty canvas flysheet. All have en-suite bathrooms with normal flush toilet, hot and cold showers. The facilities in some camps even include a swimming pool for relaxation after ‘Spice’ game drives. Game drives are taken from camps in 4 wheel drive jeeps with experienced driver-guides who know the area extremely well.

 

ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi –Masai Mara
This morning we fly over the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. After lunch, a mid afternoon visit to the Masai village will be conducted to truly experience the true flavor of the Masai culture. Thereafter, an afternoon 'Spice' game drive is planned. Later, we relax round the camp/Lodge fire before an excellent dinner. Overnight at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp/ Mara Safari Club/Mara Serena/Keekorok Lodge.

 

Day 2. Masai Mara- Nairobi
Early morning tea/ coffee then depart for a morning ‘Spice’ game drive. The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles.
Breakfast at the lodge/camp, then transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, arriving approx 1300 hrs.
