Mara Wildebeest Resort is an idyllic resort tucked at the banks of River Mara on the eastern edge of the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. It is located on a pristine natural environment with 66 African-theme cottages just 10 meters from the swishing waters of River Mara.

 

From the porch of your cottage, you can spy on crocodiles and hippos going about their business in the river unperturbed. Each cottage is positioned to take the best advantage of the view, not to miss the comfort of home and for privacy. Some of the cottages have unobstructed views; through the trees to behold the beauty of Mara River and its residents.

 

Apart from the rooms, there is a common area where people can enjoy with the Mara village surroundings and Camp fire during the dinner at night which will definitely be a great experience to anyone.

Mara Wildebeest Resort is located on the Mara river about 24 Kilometers northwest of the Masai Mara which is 1500 metres above sea level in southwest Kenya. The Camp is situated under shady trees on the banks of the Mara River, the home to a herd of hippo, it comprises cozy furnished 'Bandas' (wooden bungalows), each with a private shower and water closet.

 

Being directly on the bank of river you can watch the game come to drink or hippos wallowing while you relax with a beer on the verandah. Mara Wildebeest Resort also have a number of interesting house pets – a baby zebra, a gazelle and an impala!
